Built as a WPA project in 1936, the Overton Park Shell has stood through many eras. It's hosted opera and theater, the debut of Elvis Presley, a blues music festival, rock & roll and hip hop, and -- having survived fallow periods and threats of demolition -- it's meeting its 90th anniversary with vitality and growth.
